2023 what TT bike would you pick

Never had a red bike… or car … for that matter ?!

But 100% faster for sure.

Newbie here but I may be interested! I cant seem to DM you though?

So I contact 2 Trek dealerships regarding a Speed Concept….330 days for an the shelf SLR 7 and 230 days for a project one
No BMC timemachine 01 disc in 01 the UK and Argon 18 is arranging a new distributor for the UK so stick is zero as well.
So 2023 could well be no new TT for me

As above, I was looking at a P-Series last year but they had similar lead times, not sure if it was the frames or components, but as per other threads I think there’s now a bit of a glut of components.

My P5 is over 7 now, but I’m not really sure how many TT’s or Tri’s I’ll be doing and whether it’s worth the cost, unless I get something with rim brakes (very very rare) I’d need new wheels as well.

I also find that I’m more comfortable on a relaxed geometry like a TCR, the Enigma is very similar, and not many TT bikes are like that. The Trinity looks a bit like it is.

Or, I could do some Yoga, stretching and just train on the TT bike, but where’s the fun in that

I had decided on the Tifosi Auriga this year.

But then I was shown a picture of the Orbea Orca Aero, decision now on hold again…

Filth.

Make sure you go try it. A friend had one and couldn’t get on with it as he’s not flexible enough.

Reminds me of a pregnant seahorse.

I think I need breakfast!

Some deals about currently, but can’t find a frameset only.

Just checked … wrong bike !

Frame set and a few bits 4 k

11 speed 105 with stock wheels tyres bars etc 5k

Ult di2 8.5k Very similar wheels it was an older version I think.

Can you get aero bars on it?

Would probably need the bar setup changed, but my feeling with this frame is that it could be relatively easy Ilya switched between a road setup and a more Aero focused TT position.

Of all the bikes I have the oldest / cheapest tt bike is the most comfortable by a long way, even on the hoods it’s more comfortable than both road bikes and one I have done an Ironman on.

It’s getting a overhaul next month I was going to have it painted but the spray job is as much as it’s worth !

As we age comfort becomes even more important. Especially if your going to run well off it

Orca want 3300 euro for the frameset only, scrap that idea.

The cost is ridiculous now, I’d probably be better off getting a new Wattbike, at least I use that.

Ok moving my 2023 bike plan on a bit all of the bikes offered have 50-60 mm rims so I would looking to sell those and get a disc where and deeper front. Cost wise it will be either Parcours or Hunt I can get the hunt combo for £1150 or £1350 for the Parcours. Apart from the £200 difference anything else to consider? I have a Parcours disc at the moment that my son will inherit for his bike so no complaints but wondered if the £200 difference is worth it.

That will be down to the “rules” in place to stop spam, but I’m sure he will take a look here at some point

Welcome, keep posting and reading and it all opens up very quickly!

I bought my Canyon pre covid, but because of that and basically ending up a full time Zwifter Ive done about 15000km indoors and probably less than 1000 outside. Im not sure i could justify a new proper bike over a Tacx/Wahoo bike now, especially as i have my Cross commuter as well!

Anyone else got a Giant Trinity, what’s your sizing? @gingerbongo you are about 173cm aren’t you? Is yours a medium or small?

Asking for a friend

Yup, and it’s a med.

I opted for a large Giant Trinity but could have gone for medium at 180cm.
I tried to go long and low to replicate my old P5 fitting. There are quite a few popping up on the TT forum and the one and done Tri forum on Facebook.
