2024/2025/2026 weigh in thread

Yes I’m not sweating it to be honest
Two weeks Saturday the lighter I am the faster I’ll run, I’ve always been this way.
The heavier I am the easier the stations will be except burpee jumps.
So who knows on this one.

My pt is getting really really fit, he will beat his London time by some margin I think, his erg times are Sowler fast… well for a mid fifties 102 kg weight lifter anyway .

All shapes and sizes on here, some are not really tri friendly but go well anyway.
Always feel encouraged by this site.

This time of year I have porridge oats for breakfast. The ‘portion’ size on the box says 40g. I’m normally having more than 100g. I took it down to 50g yesterday and today and it seemed acceptable (only just).

This morning I’m trying a black coffee (ok, I’ve had two with milk already today) and it’s not too bad. I’ll keep on it today.

Trying to be good.

…and then I get a text off of my dad asking if I’d like to go out for a nice breakfast this morning (read fry-up). I’ve “reluctantly” said yes.

Finished off a tub of ice cream last night. That’s just clearing space in the freezer for healthy food right?

In case anyone was wondering the breakfast was lovely. Ordered a coffee as well and had that whilst waiting for the food. The coffee came with a bourbon biscuit and I thought I’d be rude not to eat it. I’m pretending this was an early (at 10am) lunch and will go with that.

Well, I’m hoping there’s something going on inside because the scales aren’t showing much improvement yet.

Lunch today was falafel salad with a sour cream and apple cider vinegar dressing. Going to take a lot to avoid eating half a Colin the Caterpillar

Lunch looks nice!

I think Im now passed the point where weight just falls off easily and it will take some work. Still got a way to go but when youre 40kg over weight its not hard to start shedding.

Was hoping for a bigger drop from knocking booze on the head.

that looks nice!

MrsF went to the supermarket and bought me a big chocolate cake with Happy Birthday on it. My birthday is next month but it was reduced from £10 to £1 as its best before date is today. I’ll try and limit to a slice a day for the next two or three days. Normally I’d try and eat it all but I’m going to attempt to be strong this time.

Out for a curry with friends this evening. It’s not a good week.

However I’ve only had one can of lager and one rum and coke since 1st Jan which is bloody good going for me.

Well we’ve done a lot of birthday celebrating this week. So lots of rich food out, desserts, beers and wine.

We’ve got enough bubbly in the house to last us years now (unfortunately neither of us are massive fans, but they’ll handy to take to bbqs etc this summer! :joy:)

Will give the scales a crack tmw and see if it’s made much difference.

79.6kg 2.1kg down from last week. Tbf, that is a post-ride weigh in, so probably a bit of a false reading, but I have been pretty strict with what I’m eating, so still heading in the right direction.

Yesterday was 86.85 (+0.15). I’ve been pretty good this week (ignoring the big cake I had this week and going out for a curry on Wednesday evening). Drinking has been good, two pints on Wednesday and a rum and coke last night.

.6 of a kilo this week so now under the magic 100kg.

Moving slowing back to a low carb/keto regime. Many will scoff, but it works for me.

108.0kg & 34.8%
After my ridiculous weight loss last week, balance has been restored to the force. Not really sure why last week was so low but this looks more reasonable (2.7kg in 2 weeks)
The week was going well with strength & cardio sessions most days until came down with cold at weekend when I just sat about eating.

Again I was expecting lower.

Running faster / pain free so that’s all that really matters I guess

Last week, I was selected for a weight validation test on Zwift, apparently around 10% of riders (300 out of 3000) who were doing the FRR series were selected.

This is the testing proceedure

This is the protocol we have to follow all readings must be clearly visible on the screen.

  1. Show face. Show LIVE date and time search
  2. Turn scales on. Show zero
  3. Weigh a heavy object approx 10kg. Show reading
  4. Take object off. Show zero.
  5. Turn scales over. Show underside of scales and floor under scales
  6. Place scales at least 30cm away from original position.
  7. Turn scales on. Show zero
  8. Stand on scales and show reading. Show yourself on the scales (whole person).
  9. Step off scales. Show zero.
  10. Step back on scales holding heavy object. Show reading. Show yourself on scales (whole person).
  11. Step off scales. Show zero.

I took the test, fasted, after a 2 hour sweaty ride. fortunately my weight was only 0.8kg above my quoted Zwift weight, so no penalty. If the test had been done a week earlier I would have been 2kg over.

Zwift weight now 68.8, actual weight 71-72 kg

Is it like the Ice Bucket Challenge, do you now get to nominate @Poet ?

No CR2032 batteries in the house :joy:
So I’m blissfully ignorant.

Zwift says 77kg. Which is totally correct. (It’s June 2019, right?)

The thing I like, and at the same time dislike about my scales is that they somehow sync my weight to zwift so it’s always up to date. This then shows on zwiftpower so that all my friends can see me putting on weight!
