Nice work fella

For me, the more I run the fatter I get. :man_shrugging:t2: Reintroducing swim and bike to counter.

Blagged a referral for a dexa scan but haven’t passed it to the PMI yet

I’m 88kg 30.4BMI

25.2BMI, not that it matters for my size as much.

There was a guy in my old club like that, 190cm and 95 kg, absolute weapon on the bike, could hold 43kmh at 350W on the flat.

But being a big unit, he wasn’t the best runner especially in the heat. So in the regular club duathlons, he’d leave T1 a couple of minutes down. And you just listened out for the whoomp of his disc wheel and knew that if he caught you before the halfway point of the bike that was game over. But if he caught you at the halfway point or just beyond, that was even worse, you knew the second run was going to introduce you to a whole new world of pain trying to catch him up again.

edit: here’s one of his typical bike splits, only 41kmh so must have been a bit windy that night. 5 minutes faster than everyone else over 30km, but also about 1 min/km slower on the run so it often made for a great race. He won this day but he didn’t always.

OK you’ve got me there.

What weather makes you gain or lose height? Gravitational storms? :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

After a long run and a hot bath. Clothed as nature intended. Dehydrated. Haven’t been able to stomach any fluid yet.

Whatever, it’s going straight on Zwift

There’s something dark and disturbing in the reflection there, mr as-nature-intended…

Despite qutar airways best efforts on the way home .. how many meals ..?!?

69.5 kg this morning I was 70 -71 when I left 40 days ago. Lots of guys moaning about how much weight they have gained over there but it’s still calories in and out I guess.

102.6kg & 32.7% BF today.

Starting a concerted effort to put in a consistent block at the gym and try to hit strength targets so don’t mind that going up a bit over the winter to see where I can get.

According to MFP (which is linked to GC) I’ve been in a calorie deficit of 48cals for the last 2 weeks (so about 3cals per day) yet have put on 2kgs which (according to my scales) is 0.6kg of lean muscle & 1.4kg of fat. (I don’t trust my scales’ breakdown but track it anyway)

This clearly confirms my suspicions that GC/MFP are far too generous with exercise calories from my tupical day of and hour of weights at the gym and >10k steps walking the dog etc. ( Approx. 6/700 per workout and 12-1500 for the steps)

0.8kg lost on pretty much exactly the same calories, protein & exercise that resulted in 1.3kg gain last week

Strength is still creeping back up so will soldier on.
