Cracking stuff @tunster
Yes, was definitely not my day mate but forget about that. I was so pleased to see you come in at CM because a guy you were with came in quite a bit before you.
I knew after talking to you for 2 mins that you would make it, you seemed to be really positive and everything was working. That’s the way to go get a race.
very well deserved, especially after your long trio and dramas getting there. You did yourself proud.
Love it. Well done.
Congrats both of you, have loved following the past few days in the lead up and during. Absolutely mental to think about overcoming those distances and conditions
@tunster and @gingerbongo its been great fun dot watching, incredible achievement for both. GB your future is clearly in Ultras (have a go at ultra cycling as well).::: events take longer, but training is much easier.
@FatPom shame it didn’t work out this time, however you have raced so many in the past and I am certain more to come
Take a bow - awesome running
Brilliant work well done
Erm … did he even do any training for this?
Fantastic @tunster sounds like a tough event but you bossed it
Heal well @FatPom and come back stronger
Great effort guys!
Tempted to give this one a go next year!
Mr ME out of the med in 61 minutes and about 8th in M45
If anyone remembers Aly Dixon from her running days for GB she’s also there.
Thanks Matt I appreciate that. I won’t dwell on my day as the accolades all belong to GB and Tunster. It was disappointing as it was my 3rd attempt (definitely my last). I might come back for the 55, not sure.
I’m formulating a ’ re-set’ plan but will post elsewhere when that’s done.
Good luck Jeff and Mr Me
Noticed I got one of these:
Never had one before so mid ultra quite chuffed - probably a Stava cock up but I’m going to take it
P.s. if you have shares in Premier Inn sell first thing Monday as the Minehead buffet is about to take an all time beating
Where is Grunta? the bit where you leave the road?
Think so
That’s going some, takes me 4mins to tip-toe down the slope from the start
@FatPom @tunster @gingerbongo absolutely mental cases.
Hats off to you for each of your journeys, it is awe-inspiring
