I edited the post after you replied just in case anyone else saw it.
It wasn’t that obvious before the edit
I’ve not tried the Atom, but I did have a Wattbike Pro for a few years as part of a sponsorship through HotChillee. The Wattbike was a great bit of training kit and the Atom has the added benefit of working like a smart trainer with Zwift, but I never got the same riding position and fit as on my “real” bikes. It also took up a load of space all the time (although the Atom is smaller).
I’ve got a Kickr turbo now and I love it. It’s much better to be sat on a “real” bike and the whole thing clears away if I want to when I’m not using it.
Cheers. Space isn’t an issue as it will go in a gym, was thinking of my wife and possibly kids using it when they get bigger but not getting into proper position is a big thing.
Mrs W uses the Kickr too and it probably takes no more time to switch the two bikes over on the turbo than it would have taken to adjust the Wattbike between the two of us. I’m 6ft1 and she’s 4ft10, so we are VERY different shapes .
Fortunately we both run 10-speed on our bikes, so no compatibility issues.
My daughter (12 yrs old) puts her bike on my Flux 2 (don’t buy one) and uses her free zwift account.
Does anyone use the kickr climb?
Is it worth the £££
I’m moving somewhere with no proper hills for miles.
How very dare you?
Mow cop is only 25? Miles from you, plus other hills on a route you could make.
You wouldn’t need to climb that beast many times to make a decent ride.
That is a long ride to find a short hill!
I’m sure I’ll find closer routes with other hills
Lifeline TT-02 Fluid turbo set up today in hotel quarantine. Its practically silent compared to my old magnet chunk from the cold War obviously I’m sure it’s still very loud compared to DD and for someone sat in the same room, but at least I can now hear the TV etc, and won’t be getting complaints from people 4 floors below me
So @Chriswim are you working in Australia/NZ now? Sounds like a great move
Looks interesting but next to no details yet.

Anybody out there using a Rocker plate?
The concept seems good but £200+ for two bits of ply and some springs seems quite steep.
Possibly @magnacarter I think
I have a friend who built one himself.
Wasn’t too taxing iirc
I could probably steal the instructions from my club forum if they’re still there
There is - inevitably - a Facebook group with some instructions on various designs.
Isn’t he selling all his bike stuff, so it might be up for sale?
I think Andy Dixon already bought it.
Typical G style was asking for silly money imo
Fire sale. He’s kept the kiddy trailer and sold everything else
Also did you see what he did to his knee? Wrote himself off running too quickly
I think that trailer was ours!
