Avoiding sun damage when training outdoors

During summer or if I’m away I tend to check it on the Apple weather app, and see when it’s going to peak. So either see if I can train before\after or know to cover up\splat up.

I use the cap with the neck cover a bit more now as well.

Nice.

I always wear a cap and almost always wear sunglasses unless it’s night or something.

With fair freckly skin, dodging melanoma is right up there with shark bites and work-induced coronaries in the longevity plan.

Yep, sunnies as well, also got a stupid bucket hat which offers some protection to my ears.

Given I live in the frozen north where it’s permanently grey skies my home risk is slightly lower!

I managed to survive the last 3 years with only 2 episodes of mild sunburn: one on my back while swimming in the outdoor pool, and one while gardening back home in the summer holidays :see_no_evil_monkey:

Guess that’s what mild paranoia will do for you!
