I guess it depends on the riding you do but I have an issue with the really bright flashers, they are super bad if you are group riding behind one.
I’ve got one another great. They can be annoying when you’re doing a mixture of urban and country cycling as it’s constantly going off in busy areas.
Where I’ve found it best are on longer solo rides where your mind wanders a bit and the sound of the wind in your ears means that cars coming up behind can be missed on quieter roads which is why I got one in the first place, now, the annoying chirp snaps you back to reality and keeps you that bit safer.

I’ve got the RCT715. I really like it, seems to detect cars a few seconds before I’d normally hear it, especially if it’s windy etc. I forgot to charge it and it went flat 30mins before the end of a ride and I did feel a lot less comfortable without it. Maybe it’s a false confidence, but I’d rather have it, than not.

If any of you are interested Lidl has some cheap bike lights, need 4 CR2023 batteries though, 2 each light.
But could be an emergency backup if you have issues on the commute.
They’re small and I’m tempted for TT’s
Surely anything with Coin batteries is going to be next to useless.
Don’t think lights I had on my TT were more than 50g each and were plenty reassuring.
Exposure one sat under Garmin and the other atop the seat rail mounts so was completely out the wind.

Partly why I put them back, would be alright as an emergency backup if you keep some batteries with them.
I really like these little lights for emergency. Have direct usb rechargeable connection so no cable needed & just over 100 grams.

That’s reminded me; I need a new front light.
Lost it somewhere, I was thinking of getting one of those that slot into your Garmin mount.
Pretty rare these days that I need a ‘proper’ front light. Still got an Exposure Tracer going strong for the rear that’s lasted well over a decade.

I’ve got the ravemen fr500 on my commuter.
No idea how long the battery lasts cause everything else needs charging before it. Don’t think it’s even got to 50%.
Great angle coverage.
Decent and simple light options.
Can just about get away with emergency light in proper dark. They do however seem to have higher lumen options now including the front1500

I think @Jorgan also has a light compatible with a Garmin mount, not sure which one.
For lightweight daytime lights I’ve been using a Moon Alcor/Mizar set which have been great & only about 70g all in.
I recently treated myself to a pair of wee Trace & Tracer 4 Reakt Exposure lights after being impressed with a friend’s set.

Those Moon lights are the ones I was talking about above but somehow forgot to put the link in.
I have an issue with those exposure rear lights though, thy are too bright when in a group to where you can barley see where your going, no doubt they have dimmer modes but that’s never what they’re on.

Yes the Ravemen light. They go up to 1100 lumens now!

That’s the tracer light I’ve used for years.
The only two modes are ‘on’ and ‘flash’
They’re bright af - my solution was to point it off to the side but a better one is just to not ride with others at night

When I was in France I went through a fairly long tunnel, I could see at least one cyclist quite a long way ahead and was sure there was another as I could see a silhouette.
When I got closer his light came on so must have been one of those radar type lights? It was quite impressive TBH.

I’ve got the exposure trace on front of roadie, used to have it on the TT too. Great little light.

Ive seen the light.
I only have the FR160 as a day be-seen light. But would definitely look at the high-power options if needed because they are a very ‘clean’ option for one piece carbon bars that aren’t round (albeit less battery life due to size).
