Broken Ribs

I’ve had an episode of (I think, self diagnosed) broken ribs, quite a few years ago. I was lying on the carpet looking the other way, and one of my kids who was then aged about 8 jumped off the sofa onto my chest. I was completely unexpecting it!

Sneezing’s the killer, for about 4 weeks and then it suddenly stops hurting, it my experience.

8 year olds heal fast though.

That’s more like a ‘cracked’ rib but I’m sure there is a fancier medical term for it. A properly broken rib takes bloody ages to heal and is completely dependent on how it knits back in place (or doesn’t in my case :roll_eyes: )
