Sorry, but I’m calling it; trees and lights going up everywhere here today. We don’t usually do a dedicated thread, but welcome to the new normal.

Put the trees up today. Ordered a wreath. Put a star in the window. Lights went up outside a few days ago mainly because I had time to do it.
One tree is fake, the other is real. One in the dining room, one in the living room.
May as well enjoy Christmas this year!
Kids are getting blow-out gifts! They don’t know that yet.

I feel a bit weird about it.
Put lights up inside and outside to cheer up the kids.
However, not ready to watch Xmas films or listen to Xmas songs just yet (as happened today when I had to nip to shops and came back to the horror of the Spotify Xmas playlist).
I’m certainly not ready for the re-emergence of that fucking elf next Tuesday. Grr. But then at least come December 1st I might feel a bit less torn…

Lights up outside, not working because I cant find the plugs, I think we must have put all the plugs in one safe place, buggered if I know where that is.
Kids and I ram-raided Wilkos for more tat. Tree up.
Soon be time to watch Die Hard.

Christmas film on here tonight for Mrs GB and Big little GB. I’m not a big Xmas fan. If I lived alone I doubt I’d even bother with a tree etc. But I’m getting better at getting involved for the girls. Seeing how much they love it does crack my steel heart pretty easily to be fair.

Little One’s birthday is Boxing Day, so she’s a bit non plussed about the 25th. every year we’ve had to wake her up. She usually says ‘Is it my birthday’? and when we tell her no but it is Xmas day, she just says ‘oh’.
