Ive added touchscreen as a shortcut button so I can turn it on/off at will.

Mine was strange in that I didn’t have any maps and then when it did it was a low quality one or a load of golf course maps!
I then found https://extract.bbbike.org/ and now have an excellent detailed map of the UK and yes, used the charging cable to transfer. I’ve not really used it though but it does seem to work and is very detailed (at least for road/built up areas).

I’m not a fan of touchscreens on bike computers because they can go a bit screwy in the rain and they’re not always great with sweaty fingers either
Yeah mine had lots of Golf maps, but no topographic. I need to delete the golf ones, pointless for me.
