GCHQ Xmas Card Challenge

Think you’re supposed to avoid spoiling the quiz by hiding that

Has anyone figured out how that works, I already figured the answer but not the method

The circles create groups of letters and then within the groups there are anagrams.

Google “3 circle Venn diagrams letters” and there are some good explanations

Doh.

I’ve got it.

I was blinded by the same words @fruit_thief was seeing

Same. It was the hardest question I think. 7 was hard but once you worked out the key it was easy to fill in the blanks.

Q5 there was a question on University Challenge not long back along the same lines. Without having seen that I’m not sure I would have got that.

7 was easy for me, but then you’d expect me to be good at basic encoding

6 was really just a case of understanding what the blinking question was - a very GCSE thing itself.

Yeah same. If I can’t crack a basic substitution cipher I should really give up and go home. But 6 fucked me up
