Hobbit foot bike shoes

I am experiencing pain on the outside edge of my foot after maybe 10-15 km on the bike. Having played around with position I am now pretty sure that it’s down to my shoes being too tight, it’s probably amplified by wearing thicker socks this time of year.

I know that Bont and Shimano make wider shoes, both will involve a fair old road trip to somewhere that stocks them. Any other alternatives out there?

Lake do wide and extra wide. Lake shoes are amazing.

My bike shoes are by Louis Garneau and are definitely wider than the Shimano ones I had before.

Thanks for the pointers, in the end I just ordered 5 different pairs and will return 4, couldn’t be assed making the road trip.
