I don’t think it’s ever really worked for school holidays because it’s a Saturday race with registration/briefing/racking on Thursday and Friday and at best it’s been on the weekend at the start of the holiday.
I guess the logic is that the holiday week is always busy with tourists anyway, so the IM brings visitors in when it might not otherwise be so busy 
Which website, the official page I’ve looked at says TBD, was just researching

Was hoping it would fall on school holidays again next year. Kids are no-longer at school, but still limited by my wife being a bloody teacher!
