Officials had already DQ’d a track athlete for the same offence so they couldn’t exactly leave this one pass. Yes, seems a little unfair but same rules have to apply to all.

Thats what El Niño is racing next Sunday. They aint normal kids, thats a final and the best in the region. For breast we are looking at 33ish to make the final 9 to “sprint with the star”

The amount it has cost me, I am expecting a blueray of the whold event in a gold plated case
4 x 50m races, + potential final (highly unlikely) in each for fastest 9 kids. £81.50, for 2mins 05seconds of swimming. Oh and £20 for my coach pass and £20 per person spectators.
We cant even do two races now as El Niño is racing in the County Relay Champs in the afternoon, so 81.50 + 40 for 1min of swimming (maybe a 50bk final as well if he breaks 30sec for first time)

LAC charge a bit over 10k per day to rent the competition pool! Plus 8 Olympians trying to feed their families (swimmers get less than even triathletes from NGB, limited prize money opportunities, and only so much Speedo and Arena can do in sponsorship)
Its a one off, birthday treat so hope he gets 1 final but memories for a lifetime! BUT swimming aint cheap, counties and regionals are about £15 per event! + £10 per session to watch.
