I’m guessing its because of his marriage, but odd considering his Comm/Oly representations. There’s a rule in swimming you have to wait (3 years iirc) with no competitions for your old nationality.

Don’t think he represented them since covid year and then he had a heart issue so wasn’t doing much I don’t think…
