Yes. One example here: 20k applications for 100 places with BA. At least the medical will be a little easier to pass than the RAF ones, which asses everyone at fast jet level and commensurately rules out most applications before they get close to a selection board.

I’m watching dressage. When the horses are chilling at an equine version of a party, and they ask each other what they ‘do’, do you think the the ones that answer ‘dressage’ get some side eye from the others?

Add that this year in my region (you can work it out) not one kid hit Gold standard which meant they could select essentially who they wanted. Unsurprisingly, a lot of the kids come from the same club. Which begs the question why is the Gold standard unobtainable!
Approx 2:12 4:25 for 170pts each and for gold standard swim/run 15yr old. The swim would have medalled at counties and been top 10 regionals, its from push start in trials also so will be 3 seconds faster in swim race ! That run is up there in age also, 4th on track in South of England Champs!
