I still wanna see it!

… the Viking looked so freaked out by the yank in final 100m of that 400 hurdles I thought he was going to stop… his stride pattern completely fell apart
She got a lot of airtime in the 100m hurdles yesterday morning for the first event. But as soon as she dropped down the rankings, it was all about KJT
Heaven forbid we get actual uk athletes taking up the airwaves, rather the big 3 in the pundit suite
Oooh … Khelif won the gold
I predict a riot. BBC HYS up in arms. Most of them just want the football back. C’mon Chelsea they’re saying, not understanding the one in blue wasn’t from Chelsea
My wife was.not happy that break dancing was in the Olympics. Rant mode was turned up to about 8
I haven’t seen a second of it yet!!
I wanna see them
Watched the gold medal “battle” - pretty decent to be fair.
The clips of the Australian on the other hand - slightly less decent
For those of you that don’t have disco channel
Looks like it’s the one event where drug taking needs encouragement
I thought people were joking!
As one of my mates said…it’s fairly impressive, but when you’ve spent the last week or two watching proper gymnastics, it’s hard to think it’s that amazing.
Might be the format, but feels like the wrong arena for it. It smacks of let’s keep the Olympics relevant/ opportunities- but tbh I don’t give a fig about fencing/ tae Kwan do - sweaty kids kicking randomly at a target vest thing: that’s hardly jaw dropping stuff either. A lot of the fringe stuff is shit
But always helps us in the medal table because we’re never gonna win the mens 100m
You mean “B Girl Ray Gun”, the story of how Rachel Gunn managed to come up with that battle name may be more interesting than the dancing.
I do however think it’s better than any of the floor or artistic gymnastics, just need more crowd involvement.
You see, just in those few responses everyone has a different opinion about what is and isn’t a “sport”.
Wells and Christie would be a bit miffed
There’s a place for gymnastics - but with an acceptance that the process is not bullet proof. There was some great research where they showed a floor routine to the worlds top 20 coaches and got 20 different sets of feedback. They then slowed the footage down and 19 wanted to change their feedback.
That says much about coaching but also says a lot about interpretation.
4th place for Emile Cairess in the marathon
A really great run from him
That’s pretty cool…in those conditions, and against that field…
Agreed. I know they say 4th is agonising, he wasn’t really in the medal race from a long way out but ran strong to come back through for 4th. Looked like a very hard course.
