Brilliant to have a near perfect race @Matthew_Spooner and it was great tracking you (until the end of the womens race, sorry I needed my bed). I can’t imagine in the slightest how you did that run in the heat at that pace. You were definitely the Maurten Move Champion of the day
Just seen that Sodaro’s coach is Dan Plews, he irritates the f*ck out of me. There are a few small reasons that add up to him being like lemon juice in a fresh cut on your finger to me.
Chapeau!
Congratulations @Matthew_Spooner
I hope everything lived up to your expectation; and now you get to watch the MPro race knowing you’re done
Add a nice little moniker to your username after all of the passes you made on the bike.
As for running in that heat
Good work
“Maurten Mover”, surely
You got it!!!
(Or that’s what I changed it to, unless someone else has rechanged it?)
So how does LCB win this thing
On the plus side she did her best run, she was 3:08, 3:05 and 3:05 in 2017/18/19 and 3:02:50 this time. Pretty impressive after her injury
Run 2:50
Or swim faster or bike faster.
Thanks guys, knew I could rely on you for some insights
haha well yeah of course. I think her swim and bike are alright in Kona, she may be able to bike a little faster but she is within a couple of minutes of the fastest women, excluding Dani. But here run is the furthest away I reckon. But hey, she’s a very good athlete.
ETA: I was being serious and facetious at the same time, I think the run is the only place she can significantly improve on.
Uh what?! An AGer did sub 8 in Kona?
Aren’t there only 4 Pros who’ve done that?
I don’t think they did, I can’t find anyone sub 8 on the tracker
I’m guessing he meant sub 9
Or sub 3 run?
I don’t want him writing my prescriptions @Chriswim
I don’t know if she backed off her swim/bike yesterday to help her run? Certainly the first time she has ever had company on the bike, and that may be the only way she can win it. Even if she has the fresh run pace of the others, they are going to have an easier bike in the train. She basically needs to get a sub-8 team to drag her round.
If you assume the 2nd/3rd bike pack has 10 women within 10 minutes, it only needs one of them to have a float day and run 2:50 and someone is always going to run her down.
Speaking of prescriptions, my other half was in severe pain with some issues around Christmas and phoned NHS direct to say the pain killers she’d been given )already pretty strong) weren’t touching it. They said they could double it but that was the max possible and wrote up a new prescription which I could collect from the out of hours pharmacy at Tesco.
When I got there the pharmacist said I can’t give you this, it will kill her. They’d doubled the dosage and the size of each tablet too, thus quadrupling the dose. Good job the pharmacist was on the ball.
that’s up there with @r0bh 6:48 mile comment for best so far
