Ha, re: cycling, the first meeting I had with a bloke who’s now a pretty good mate was when he was measuring the rollout of his 12 y/o son’s di2 S5 w/zipps on the rowing club floor. There’s a lot of kit around for kids in cycling clubs, and has been since the late 80s…
For this bloke though, he honestly wouldn’t notice the difference in his wallet between £500 and £50k. Must be nice to have a few hundred million in the family trust.

I’m yet to see it but we are South London init. Most of the road bikes are cross bikes with road tyres so they can race both. Track bikes are Moda or Dolan typically with one or two Planet Flex although the club rental bikes are still fully used. There are also rules on deep rim use for u14s nationally to stop that also. It’s still not a cheap sport!
My daughter has worn almost nothing but vivo-barefoot ever, and certainly only barefoot shoes, however she hates running too!
