Yeah, I noticed that, I think I know which one is I might have driven up it until it turned into a track and I turned back :joy:. Might have been tarmac’ed since. Comes out at the airport if it’s where I’m thinking as it goes up the Galibier and Croix de Fer

Does that make it easier or harder for Pog to get #5?

Ah what the hell, it won’t matter anyway! He’ll probably be going for the Olympic Track Sprint in 2028

TTT probably requires a couple more rouleurs than normal, but I’m sure UAE can afford to buy a few of them

Or they can afford to give up a few seconds, give the yellow jersey to someone else for the 1st week.

How long is the TTT?

19km so probably <20 minutes total

I think it’s rolling in places with a bump at the end but pro’s don’t seem to notice them!

Nah I cycled up the Sarenne in summer when in ADH, it is still a pretty narrow road with a crappy road surface.

It is pretty irregular compared to ADH, I found it pretty hard but was the end of a massive ride!

They’re coming up the Sarenne from the valley using some narrow roads and some wicked switchbacks - that stage has something like 5600m of climbing!!

I think they are using that stage as next year’s Etape

It’s just before I’m heading that way for ADH tri so I’ll follow the route and hoover up Pog’s KoM’s :joy:

Participants will face some of the Tour’s most legendary mountain climbs: Col de la Croix de Fer, Col du TĆ©lĆ©graphe, and Col du Galibier. The final climb to Alpe d’Huez, via the rarely used Col de Sarenne, will make this a truly special stage

Mens CX Euro Champs race was a cracking, full gas race from start to finish.

Should be a great weekend for you, I’ve been following all the races on Tiz albeit 24hrs after the live events.

I’d love to see Cam Mason get a ā€œWā€. He’s been knocking on the door quite firmly & if he doesn’t go missing in the first 3rd of the race he stands a chance.

Apart from the incredibly reliable Lucinda Brand, the ladies seem all over the place with injuries compared to the last couple of seasons. No Puck, Carmen, Shirin, Zoe & Fem is obviously having problems atm .

Local(ish) couple Giles & Dr.Helen Drake have managed to get into the Super Prestige Cross starts this year with Helen placing really well. Giles is a Strava legend around NWales, won the 3 Peaks CX & has been taking part in some local fell races over the last 18mths.

Well jealous, take your wellies, grab a duck hat, give the camera a wave & have a great time

Against my better morals I’ve packed the dry robe - it’s the loud colourful one - as it’s the coat most likely to keep me warm and dry :face_with_peeking_eye: otherwise it’s everything else waterproof!

Just lining up to get on the ferry at Dover. First stop is the trek store in Kortrijk - their biggest/best store. Can’t ever really escape it.

The sand section is mental. It’s properly knee deep and soft as hell. They are all bonkers. And then the boards are bolted in steel - none of this scaffold plank stuff.

If you happen to pick up a spare :duck: :billed_cap: I can find a good home for it!
