Strava

Just reverified my student Strava so £27.50 again next month

I think that’s pretty decent value.

Black Lives Matter?

Its an option

Everytime I’m watching someone do a screen share, and they open something that IS NOT in Dark Mode, a little piece of me dies :rage:

Dark Mode. For the win :new_moon_with_face:

Do you have to be a subscriber for KoMs???

I rode a 2:11:xx on a 75km loop this morning, my club rode the same loop at 2:17 and got the KoM :tired_face::tired_face:

Not fair!!!

Maybe, or do you only allow followers? Might also be that if you don’t allow everyone?

No, but as Jeff says, you can’t have any restrictions on your activities for them to be included in leaderboards

I’ve changed it to Public.
Do you have to have calories, HR and Power visible, too???

Err, dunno, I’m currently only in followers, not sure how easy it is to be granular but in reality I don’t hugely care if people see my power, HR etc.

I see you can hide start time now when you publish a ride. That’s new right? That was one of the reasons I never made my Strava public… the occasional over-long weekday “lunch” ride

No, that’s been a feature for a good few years, I think you can set a radius but aren’t eligible for KOM’s etc in the hidden zone.

I think it was to prevent people stalking you to nick your bike.

Edit: there’s a hidden zone from your home address, mine is 600m, and a separate option for radius for activities started elsewhere, mine is only 200m for that but less of a problem.

I have the radius privacy set up also :+1:.

I think @GeordieM is referencing a new feature that means you can have a privacy setting when you start your activity now. As he says good for longish rides when WFH, or for others that may do yoga when they get to their sole use workplace .

ETA, I’m sure I saw the feature advertised a few days ago but can’t see how to activate it atm.

Ahh ok, I was thinking location rather than time of day. Yeah, that’d be useful :joy:

Found it, it’s along with HR, speed, etc, etc.

Definitely a useful feature for me.

Or 11am long runs :see_no_evil:

Or extended lunch swims :see_no_evil:

Just used this very feature :joy:
(Although I did start work at 7:30 today instead of swimming, to get some TOIL :white_check_mark::+1:)

Seems strava are now auto-tagging commute rides with that label. Used to need to be done manually. Saves me some button clicks!

Wonder what criteria they use to define it.
