I’m not sure I can even be arsed with another Ironman. In hindsight, having time goals took much of the ‘joy’ out of it tbh.

I think challenges where ‘complete’ is a win, or being competitive in your category appeal to me more now.

It’s a shame races like Big Woody and Forestman are no longer around, both nice destination races and challenging

Challenging yes, destination? …maybe you need to get out more  Outlaw - now that has it all

I wouldn’t even call St Polten a destination race; the course is ace, but the town itself is non-descript. Am I misinterpreting what most would call destination?

I went to ForestMan for my first and I’ve been back to the New Forest loads for leisure.

I’d have never have known/considered the area for a holiday without visiting for a triathlon.

It’s bloody lovely down there :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I’d say that’s a “destination”

I think that is a better goal than what can be an arbitary time goal that is really dependent on course profile. In terms of completing being the win then races like Embrunman or even Alpe d’Huez.

Yes, I’ve often eyed those as a potential win :joy:

It’s not like your some big tall bloke that might suffer with all that climbing is it? :see_no_evil:

St Polten is a sleepy town in Austria, lovely views on the bike but not a holiday. I’ve been back to New Forest many times just to visit as @Poet says. It was a fantastic place to race.

arr yes, proper destination events, Id definitely do both of those is situation arises

Oh, I thought you were taller than that. But I think I have only seen you once at your last Outlaw flying the opposite way on the main road.

Too tall and you don’t blend in

Have you grown since 2019, then? :kissing_heart:

You were shorter than I imagined :see_no_evil:

Are you all confusing me with Hammerer?

I’m just middle aged guy in the crowd.

Nah - he’s massive.
I’m always surprised when people are noticeably taller than I am.

I seem to have shrunk, 194cm the other day when I measured myself  Recon i made a mistake

You lot will think I’m from Lilliput :joy:

Comfortably over 6’ aren’t you? So most people will seem ‘smaller’.
