@iwaters, What a delightful phrase to greet me as I log back onto the forum! 
Anyway, for the first time in at least 25 years, I had a swimming lesson tonight.
Endless pool, 30 minutes of video analysis and pointers. Learnt a lot, and easily picked out 3 or 4 big work ons.
Well worth the £30!

I’m sure we have all watched Youtube videos of how to swim Free, but this is the best, by far. It is so good I bribe my lad to watch it. Put English subtitles on, obviously, and you also get to practice your French ! The only thing I would say is for distance Free (anything over 100m for me ! ) I would not be kicking much, more flicking one’s feet to keep a flat and straight alignment:
