Your shoulders are so bloody huge they’re probably creating 30w of drag!
Did slimming down involve never lifting anything above chest height for a year?
PS for a laugh, please post on slowtwitch and ask them to critique your bike fit. The visual distortion alone is priceless… miniature bike indeed!

Charging as we speak!
See a few of your mob are out to play @Adam . Some quite big hitters in behind me. Will see if I can hold any of them off.

Shoulders, back and chest have always stopped me going fast…
Naturally big top half naturally skinny legs … not great for our game but work with what you have…
Slow twitch is a circus … I see enough biff with the boxing sites … not for me.
Yep it looks silly… photo angle mostly, I’ll bet I was pushing out some watts at 90 odd kilos but got faster as I shrunk
Still did light weights just cut the food gradually and increased the cardio.

By way of comparison…
The photo that convinced me I’d bought a too-small bike…
On a TT note so I’m not hijacking…l took that to France and got 26:32 in that position! (25:32 when I added clip-on aerobars].
But seriously, me and aero are not on first name terms…
And good luck to all doing the real thing! Wheezy etc

That’s 100% too small for you!
You should sell it me cheap, discs will help my woeful descending for sure!
I’ve done a long 27 this year… lol
But with less effort than my normal 70.3 bike split and zero aero!
As wheezy says at least you get to put a number on…!

Gareth starting 2.5 minutes behind you on a road bike. He’s bloody strong at the moment.
I believe Paul is aiming for a 19 on that course.
Rode a 20:25 in that open the other week. Crazy fast for that course!
Best of luck!!

Yes, there’s at least 5 riders behind me who are capable of a sub20. Me, not so much!

Unfortunately, that’s not true either. There’s at least one KQ behind me and my clubmate regularly goes sub10 over IM!!

It worked
Never got near 250…
Even when I was big I’ve always preferred endurance stuff…
50 x 50 kg
1 min rest
Repeat
Is probably the best thing I’ve ever done weights wise …
Anyway kq are two a penny … if your really lucky…
Maybe really really …

I’d forgotten just how hard and painful a 10m tt is. Managed to break the zip on my skinsuit before the start and had a late start.
Paced it badly and hit the first couple of miles too hard, but overall, pretty pleased after a long lay off from 10m TTs
Anyway 23:35
NP 270w
Ave HR 165
Another one in a couple of weeks where I can try to get a bit closer to my course best.

Hmm, on my 25 in a couple of weeks I’ve got Harry Tanfield 16 minutes behind me, I’m genuinely worried he might catch me on the line

Yep but he can’t swim…!
Ha ha… please don’t tell me he’s a fish too?!?
No shame in being caught by that level of quality, Andy Wilkinson came past me once like I was standing still… literally
Paul was a great swimmer and a decent runner. 2 x Kona (although 3/4 years of near misses/bad luck before nailing it), and IIRC top Brit finisher in getting his Norseman black.
Has given up Tri, now a very decent Crit racer who does the odd TT. Was a very good golfer believe it or not before discovering endurance sport.
We started at similar times (first IM Frankfurt 2010), and I got to watch him streak off into the distance while I worked just as hard it not harder to gain small amounts year on year.
One of those folk who should thank his parents…
