Yeah i also just nearly killed myself on the tt I just did. I thought I was going to give up at about 7 mins, but somehow built into it. Luckily had a fella about 2-4 secs behind me all the way, closing the gap then I’d pull away. So we kept each other honest.
He passed me on Petit kom, so I (for the first ever time really) got out the saddle and closed the gap, then ended up going past him. Pulled a few secs on the descent but then he started closing with big power in the last mile.
He opened a bigish sprint, I pedalled a bit harder (deffo couldn’t be called a sprint! ). We crossed the line at exactly the same time, but he was given the place. Dammit!

I did a workout beforehand and was destroyed for Bologna, 19:08 or something. Stopped pedalling at one point , utter misery endured for a rubbish time. Stupid idea of mine…

Although didn’t you do a 10 yesterday as well? How did it go?
10 was grotesque. Flew to the turn with an average speed 29.2 mph, turned into a wall of wind and then watched that dribble away to about 26mph.
Time 22:45.
I’ll be having an easy/recovery day tomorrow…

Well that was sh1t. Turned up for my evening 10 and was on the startline for the temperature to drop and it started hailing. Visibility was awful so scratched along with 4 others. By the time I’d cycled the half mile back to the car park I couldn’t feel my hands. So far, 4 TTs entered this season and only 1 where I’ve started.

I left my buddy to it last night (J2/1)
He said it was utterly grim.
Tonight was run night
Tomorrow’s course is 2.5 miles into a headwind uphill(ish), then 5 miles back with a tailwind, then 2.5 miles back up into the headwind.
Bleak. Zwift is nice and warm

yep, my club 10 was ‘challenging’ this evening… windy AF, which was fun with a disc, and COLD!
I’ve decided that my new bike position is beautifully aero, but I just can’t hold it, or generate enough power in it, so i’m going to dial it back a bit for now, and keep working on my flexibility with more yoga!

Yeah. Not sure how much testing he’s done but I imagine he will go quite well

Which event is this? His biking is rapid. Hes my size, and ftp into the mid 300s. I’ve only ridden the same event as him once. He was doing Deva middle, I was doing the standard. Came past me like I was standing still, despite having done 60k or so more than me already
