Maybe part of my issue is I rinse them out then store them in the freezer!

My mate Craig has had to pull out of SDW100, he’s had some nasty calf pain that he just couldn’t shake.

I’ll talk him into NC110

Is the tracker link up yet?

I love the passion that comes across whenever Bruce talks about Comrades. Thanks for the link. I’m also pleased to see that the race will be on YouTube this year - although I’m sad that the cut-offs will probably seem even more diluted with the additional start wave timings this year.

Yes I have a date with my couch on Sunday. I’m also intrigued about the wave start. I think it’s less necessary for an Up run but it’s no surprise it’s come in.

James Ellson read an email from a guy called ā€˜Nick’ (didn’t catch the last name) and I think he’s finished the race 23 times and a couple of DNFs. Nearly all within 20mins of cut off.

One change I think they made last year was to do away with the interim ā€˜human chain’ barriers. Jamie said people were allowed to carry on.

Got a mate doing summer spine starting this weekend. It’s not appealing to me, put it that way! :joy:

I didn’t think the coverage on the Winter version was that good this year. I missed Will and the regulars.

I listened to a podcast from a finisher of the Arctic version.

The kit list makes Arc look like a ā€˜keys and phone’ job!

No 1158 - off in the first wave, which means I will have more daylight hours..

I just want to finish - definitely stronger and lighter than 2 years ago ( and no concussion this time :joy:) . Conditions look good - Need to make sure I don’t start fast ( not sure if I am even capable of that) but notice my hr seems to shoot up to 170 for the first mile or so which makes me a bit paranoid.

Good luck @p00key , been pissing down all day here, so trails should be a bit softer on the top. Watch that chalk if it’s wet!

I noticed Nicole Bitter was on the start list ( wife of Zach Bitter) We ended up spending a day together when she DNS and I DNF’d at Ultra trail Cape Town. Planning on saying hello to her, hopefully she will remember me or I will look like a right dick.
