The tracker is a bit odd, my Physio is ahead of Spoons, maybe 100 odd km, but his “position” is about 60 places less. Both are in the north of Spain so its not a vastly different route.

Looks like the coastal route is the obvious choice; probably geography and civilisation. The interior of Spain can get pretty remote, very quickly.
