Just tickled that (especially after the Economist was talking about Trump having a 1 in 10 (now 1 in 7) chance of winning, you seem to be catching me up.
Remember Michele Obama will win in 2024. But mathematically I won’t be around to gloat about it. 
it’s been trump all the way since: the democrats tried any and every reason to impeach him rather than sort their policies; they consistently played identity politics; their media constantly overlooked the damage caused by the identity politics they backed; they produced a set of candidates who played a terrible game of virtue signalling…
For example
Beto O’Rourke
Pete Buttigieg
Elizabeth Warren (possibly)
Kamala Harris
And you think any of those would be polling higher than Biden currently is?
As well as mobilising traditional Democrat voters, they need to win across some ‘conservative’ (GOP) voters; I don’t think they are ready for some of the names you list. Not yet.
I’m not sure, however, Biden’s mental agility is not what it once was, I think that this will be a big concern for some voters.
@Jorgan, I had Elizabeth Warrren on my list as I think that she is very electable, whether America is ready for the others I don’t know. My favourite would be Pete Buttigieg, but since no one can pronounce his name he is unelectable
Trump voters are not ready for PB, Afghan War Veteran or not.
I’m not sure a lot of democratic voters were particularly keen on Buttigieg either, his values seemed fairly malleable.
Listen to any of Biden’s recent speeches, he is ten times more coherent than Trump, a low bar I know

That’s a fair point, Trump is totally incoherent, and my impression is that he has been getting increasingly less coherent over the past 4 years
Biden is like your super smart relative, who is in a gradual decline. Recently he has been better, and I wouldn’t be surprised if there is some element of truth in Trump’s accusation that he is taking something, although no reason at all to believe that it is not prescribed medication. I don’t see why that is a problem

Yes, but rules that apply to other people do not seem to apply to trump. Any other politician who behaves the way Trump does would have been replaced a long time ago, but because it is Trump, he is somehow immune

i don’t follow Trump closely or the anti trump rhetoric which is equally lame…but am interested in what he has done to warrant his removal
The Ukraine episode springs to mind.
But of course, apart from Nixon, we don’t know what other Presidents have done (gotten away with) and not had made public.
Telling people to drink Bleach
Using presidential powers to release friends from Jail
Sending national guard into cities
Bullying his staff
Repeatedly lying
Refusing to declare his tax returns
Nothing directly impeachable, however, ethically and morrally corrupt. As president he is supposed to set a high standard, he does the complete opposite and it sets a tone for the nation
