spag bol this eve…
Spag bol tomorrow here, cooked curry yesterday.
Champions dinner for El Niño, he chose 5 guys. Not exactly veggie friendly so ordered a grilled cheese. Literally a bun turned inside out filled with shit american fake cheese. Luckily i added some salad, but feel robbed. It was no Welsh Rarebit thats for sure
Lunch was a petrol garage cheese sandwich and a mars bar, it was grim. I didnt help out today and Gillingham is the biggest dump in Kent with little choice for food and no cafe onsite.
planning…
100g of @gingerbongo 's finest “Greek” yoghurt. 1 teaspoon of 100 Manuka honey, teaspoon of peanut butter and a banana
Something chicken and rice.
Could be Pallea, or Chinese style chicken curry and boiled rice!
Well there is stock from the roast in the instantpot, so paella or risotto could be on - I do not eat boiled rice though…
Isn’t a paella and a risotto just a slower method of boiling the rice? Or does it have a different name?
In the sense that all rice being cooked is steamed or boiled ultimately you could argue it for sure - but I would say the required frying beforehand and very different resultant texture of the rice distinguishes from “boiled rice”.
Thats what I’m thinking atm.
Edit: or Chicken Jambalaya.
Chicken and Chorizo Jambalaya is nice but Im not buying any chorizo today.
We’ve got a risotto planned for later in the week.
Beans on toast tonight!
beast and cheese on toast for lunch…
Spinach and ricotta tortellini for lunch with olive oil and parmigiana, some salad to make it healthier
Dinner was a couple of creme cheese bagels in between dad cabs and zwift
Think there was an orange and dried mango in there somewhere also
Thanks to Jim I spent an hour making risotto!
I spent maybe 20-25minutes… but maybe we’re getting close to the how are people so busy all the time thread…
Chicken Jambalaya (with non spicy standard sausage) in the end.
