Got family visiting from Portsmouth and they insisted on getting a good old Northern chippy.
Think I’m gonna be sick. To put it in perspective, everyone had overflowing plates and this is how many chips there are left over!

Hey we are all fuelled up this is good
Looks like a team theme then. Had a massive mushroom stroganoff that made my stomach do backflips for some reason. Settled now though!
Mrs GB wanted to ride so I had to solo the girls down for bedtime. Aced it
Well call me Jeff.
Sorry TriTalk1… Turbo decided to have a drop out about 30secs in.
My discord also seemed to die once we crossed the start line.
By time I got back on I was spent
No probs you had to put out huge watts to get back, impressive to get back and stay until late on. I wouldn’t have made it back at all.
51:47, less our 6:30 offset so 45:17. Solid, feeling our way back, really enjoyed it.
Immense pulls from @Doka and @jeffb, thanks guys!
Hope the other teams is going well. Definitely up for this weekly, great workout.
Really enjoyed that: thanks all! Sorry for not taking many (any!) turns on the front. Every time I tried to get to the front I seemed to hit a brick wall and not get past. Will get a decent set of headphones sorted for next week so I can actually be a bit more involved rather than just mucking about in the centre of the blob. Thanks again.
Felt better than I was expecting there and quite enjoyed it. If we can get a full quota out it should be a bit easier.
Bloody Wattbike still started despite being stood over it though
Yeah we had our fair share of teething issues. @NickBerry went full @jeffb with discord probs and a total dropout!
Teamwork probs needs a bit of finesse, it it was a good laugh. I really enjoyed myself, and good to put some real life voices to the avatars!
Lost to @Jgav on the bloody final 1km sprint though. Bugger pipped me as I died with 100m to go!
Job jobbed. Lost Nick early on, Funkster dropped back to pick him up but it didn’t happen. Then Funkster and I tried to bring Magnacarter back. I think it’s a tall order to do this ride after 5 months off. Then it was GB, Funkster, Prince and I to finish it off. GB and I had a nice sprint to the line but I had the tow so just came round at the end. Nice lead out GB
Errr yeah. That’s totally what I was doing!
You made it really hard to come off your wheel so fair play but 300m was a long way out to his top gear and I guessed you’d die at some point.
Guys, sorry! The tech demons were strong in my house tonight. Possibly because I connected a new pair of bluetooth headphones???
Power pedals completely disconnected, had to dismount and manually pair so was 45 secs down. Got within 30 secs & funkster very nobly dropped back, thanks funkster, but I was spent by then & couldn’t stay with you.
On the plus side, still pedalled round & a good sess in the end
Well done all - sweaty out there tonight
pasta stayed down too
phew… thanks for trying to bring me back on jgav… I was playing around with Discord trying to get it working, and suddenly found myself 2 seconds off the back and despite my best efforts, I couldn’t get back on. By the time you came back and had pulled me back on, I was spent. I think that the lay off i’ve had, plus a group that is a bit faster than me proved to be too much… give me another 2 or 3 months to get back to where I was… still enjoyed it though, and for at least the first 20 mins, I was blowing out of my arse, so a darned good workout!
If you fed that into a defibrillator, it would shock you for sure
Spot the sprint… And death!
How long did it take you to get back on the group?
