2024/2025 weigh in thread

A week of 16/8 fasting and weight hasn’t changed! Actually I had a couple of cheat days.

I need to update my zwift weight :eyes:

No real change in weight - feeling fitter and have been bang on with all New Year’s resolutions so but disappointed not seeing much change

My Garmin scales do this, slightly irritating.

Might have to fit a third magnet to the back wheel.

Hmmm, so it seems it has caught up with me and i’m up to 74kgs now (whereas was 73 coming back from holiday). Not huge numbers i know, but they’re going the wrong way.

I think with some more regular training on the horizon, and no more parties i should be able to reverse the trend now. Still aiming for the Mon-Fri 16:8 thing. Not 100% strictly, but getting as close as practicable. Not going to go down the route of changing the diet particularly, but the 16:8 stops me from snacking on crisps of an evening. Could probably do with binning off sugary/convenient snacks in the daytime though - need to get better at shopping so that we have more nuts and stuff. But they’re really expensive!

12th Jan: 75.84kg
16th Jan: 77.55kg

Friday morning weigh in was after an evening swim, which perhaps was why that was so low? Despite the fact I pigged out afterwards.
Had a bit of a weekend of excess celebrating 2 family birthdays, with many sweet treats involved.
Cheating on 16:8 has become a bit too frequent a habit.

Enjoyed that. He’s shorter than me but similar weight, yet he looks super trim. What am I doing wrong - is it just old man belly!?

I have a friend who is 100 kilos

Shifter no doubt, his main targets for this year seem to be hyrox pro and a sub 10 Ironman, at Copenhagen I think ?!

Anyone aware of any other non pro athletes who have gone 9:59:59 or less whilst hitting the 100 kg mark?

Will he be a first if he does it?

I did manage to get to my 10 stone target of 63.6 Kg the other day which I was really happy about. Now at 64.6 after a fair few days of fat eating (who wouldn’t with temps of minus 10 outdoors!), but I think that getting back to 63.6 would now be quite easy, or who knows, could I get to a magical 60 before I get to 60!!

Don’t worry tho folks, I’m too obsessed with all things savoury and sweet to end up with an illness, never ending obsession.

I’ve been saying for years to my fitter mates, we could train together if they strapped on a 20kg weight vest.

Joe basically validated that I am a super fit KQ machine. With +20kg options attached

25% added weight to skipper added 25% to his 5k time, so I’m comfortably a sub 20 5k runner (+20kg). Extrapolating out; a sub 4 marathoner, and Kona qualifier…+20kg.

I can rest easy, all goals achieved! :slightly_smiling_face:

79.8kg today +0.2kg from last week.

A low hours exercise week, as I didn’t get my mid-week rides in as it was just too cold so not doing quite enough butter-burning. My diet for main meals was good but a bit of snacking crept in, particularly on yesterday’s 80km ride.

Will see if I can get down below 79kgs in the next couple of weeks.

99kg on the nose this morning, so another 500g off this week,

Not mind blowing; I have not seen the initial big drop that you expect.

However if I can keep to a consistent 500g a week then I would be happy.

Celebrating with ham and eggs for breakfast.

No expert, but 500g/week seems ideal.
