My words almost exactly when I landed in Tenerife and they announced the cancellation of the Bluetrail - still had a good break out of it - oh no, wait, that was followed by work stress, 24 hours of food poisoning and biblical flooding

Wow that was a stressful thread to catch up on!
Had just spoke to my mate this morning who was driving up to th airport to fly into Barca (he’s a pilot) and he said it was looking pretty flippin sketchy out there.
Sorry to hear that guys it really sucks. Lady at work I know had this as her first ever one too. She’s been nervous all week about it.

This didnt age well.. lol.
The cancellation really hit about 15 - 20 minutes ago… I am pissed off but also okay about it in a way, more gutted for the people bring their bikes back from transition in tears

It must be so galling. The travel, the hassle, the expense, the time out of normal life, all the preparation. I really hope you can salvage something from it, maybe see the sights or get a couple of decent runs or rides in a nice and unfamiliar part of the world. Assuming the delugio catastrophico passes of course.
And you’ll be fit as a butchers dog for any UK events in the next few weeks.

I feel sick, as about 15 - 20 minutes ago Im sure I saw a body in the sea, where the river meets the sea, 50 or so meters from the flipped car.
