I think it opens on Friday? Oddly it follows the 6 star ballot. I’m not going for the tour option unless I win the lottery

new to this group as I’m searching for a bit of guidance from this community.of you can indulge me. I signed up to a Rat Race endurance event but have sustained a knee injury that means this is off the agenda (gutted doesn’t come close to describing my emotions right now). Anyway, I now have a voucher for just under £2k to sell (for a heavy discount clearly). What Rat Race don’t tell you is more of their forums don’t allow you to sell said vouchers on them so I’ve got to find another way. Any ideas please? www.ratrace for their challenges. Cheers, Chris

That sucks. I hope you find a buyer. For no reason whatsoever I’d assumed Rat Race were a thing of the past, but nice to hear they’re still going. I was considering one of their Edinburgh events years ago, but decided urban AR was not for me. Good luck

A few months back (after Jamie doing a hard sell) I signed up to Marathon Tours SC Club/ pre-reg and as result, I now have an entry to Comrades 2027, once I qualify (which is a very soft 5hrs marathon requirement). Packages open for me on Sept10th, but I’m in if I want one.
I’ve always been a bit on the fence about whether I want to do this race or not and I’ve always come down on the ‘not’ side of the fence, for a variety of reasons. TBH, I’d forgotten I’d even signed up for advance registration, so was surprised to see the invite.
Been back and forth with this but decision now made, I’ll give the race a swerve for 2027. I’m going to stick to my ‘shorter and faster’ plan for a while and see how that goes.
However, not to waste my SC Club advantages, it does mean I could probably get an entry to Berlin Sept 2027 if all goes well. Which given everything else health and family wise going on, seems a better plan.

Was given the heads up on this announcement earlier but it’s now official - Brighton and Hove Tri has been acquired by Supertri and sits alongside Blenheim in their UK portfolio. I know the guys who have managed this for the last few years after taking it over from John Lunt - same crew behind the Eastbourne Tri which has won various awards over the last couple of seasons. Eastbourne event will remain outside Supertri.

Annoyingly waiting on my brother in law and when he’s getting married.
The tri weekend is one of his options - as soon as he pulls his finger out I’ll enter!

Aren’t they midweek races? Or do you mean before/after?
Despite being traumatised I’d partly like to do the standard race but probably not next year.
