As long as you’ve got some rim above the brake track so tape the cover to it’ll work, so a 30/35mm rim will be OK but not a bog standard box rim.
Thoughts on cheapest TT helmets I could find in a Large

Carnac will be £25 soon enough
In time for Easter monday when I’m next racing?
Is it worth training in the aero helmet to get used to the ridiculous heat?
Oh, yeah
No! You’ll look like a tool
I’d go for the Tardiz out of that lot
I like to train in my Orange Tempor
c’mon I think you people look like a tool with deep-sections, speed suits on a “bun run”, but others are happy, ride whatever helmet you want!
You’ve seen the Allez I’ve been riding all winter right?!
Of course not, I stay away from everyone like what I should!
I actually don’t know where the “you” came from in that sentence, I was meaning people in general, I’ve not actually seen you with deeps and a skinsuit ever, it was more general people as that is completely common round here as you know!
Ha, yes I know what you mean. I think I made a comment a while ago about people being out on top end bikes, deep sections etc on a miserable winter Sunday in the pissing rain. But each to their own!!
@d.t - just googled your helmet - that is a serious TT lid !
That’s the same as the EF Palace duck TT helmet, right?
Said the triaflete I’m with Jibber on that point
Tongue very much in cheek - wear whatever you want
Unfortunately I don’t have the power to wear that helmet level.
Yup!
Total jokes around here, too.
Saw an Argonaut outside Caffè Nero the other week
Remember that the Giro Advantage (2) was always seen as the ‘sex panther’ of aero helmets: fastest lid on 70% of people all of the time.
