Aerobic 10km challenge

Well… I’m not in the Nike club. Tried the peg 37s to dip my toe and hated them enough I send them back (I never send anything back usually).
So dropping a couple of ton doesn’t really sit well.

Pegs have never been my favourites in terms of feel. They’re just a decent value* “easy run” shoe, and are no worse than other brands of cheaper trainer I’ve used. The expensive one’s are a different matter however. They’re by far and away the most comfortable shoes I have. Whenever i have a little niggle or ache, or even a blister, I’ll stick an old pair of 4% on as they’re so comfy

Might try one day… tho I also (if I assume correctly) the nike tongue being dead thin. I like a nice cushioned tongue :grimacing:

Is there a bike equivalent of this?? I feel I may fare better on that… which would suggest my running muscles are just pathetic.

No… because your probably really good at them too!?

Just out of interest what would you expect your hr to be at 65% of ftp?

Please tell me it’s got three figures in it…?

No wonder this sport is classed as “ elitist “

Your more than welcome to join in any crazy challenge, anything g except burpees is all good …?!

Right I’ll stick this here …

Excuses first …

11 th hour of training this week.

The one preceding this was one hour all out bike in the tt position.

Wore wooly hat and cycling jacket ( too hot )

It’s hilly… ish.

56:30 av hr 143. Which is about what I expected.

Max hr is 184, possibly higher.

Resting… never tested I’ve seen 50”s when putting monitor on in the morning.

Hope to build and improve on this over the coming weeks.

I reckon I’d be around 115/120 for that sort of effort

That is probably quite a relevant value to this, as sat on the sofa typing but not doing much else is likely a value to compare with the others more than sleeping rest values and max.

I’m mid 50’s on the sofa, I’d be about 115/120 like Adam for the FTP one, and I can’t run at the intensity wanted for this challenge unless ill!

I always though RHR should be just laying down?
That’s what I’ve been using.

My sofa value would be about 40

I’ll give it a shot now. Can I use ERG - so I can mentally switch off?

Go for it

Jesus!
227W is my 70.3 target watts. (76% FTP)
Nets me a ~2:25 on a flat course with not awful roads.
I’d be 155bpm for that effort.
So aerobic.
