Any idea when there introducing time bonuses for 1000 press ups before the swim?!

Those times are insane.

Cheers

So three minutes for transitions gives you 62 for splits,

11:15 swim is 1:30/100m

50:45 left….

30:00 bike think that’s 275W for me anyway

20:45 left for the run

Yeah I think you’d have a shot with those times. That’s based on a course with accurate distances. I’ve been at qualifiers where the swim was long with huge waves, qualified at events where the swim was in the sea with huge waves & long transitions, hilly bike/run courses, and also some where slightly longer/shorter than the expected distance.

If you have a qualifier in mind, you could have a look at previous results. How close are you to those times at the moment?

Fully aware of the amount of training people put in and dedication to the sport so not being a disrespectful newbie thinking can just turn up and go for a spot haha

If you’ve got a background in sports or just naturally talent - you might not need to put in a massive amount of traning! As it’s a sprint distance you don’t have to do as many hours compared to longer distances. Good luck!

Thanks for all the comments, good to see some rough numbers. Been a great help.

In terms of how far off…. A million miles away :joy::joy::joy:

Will test myself at the weekend individually but could imagine around 21/22 for the run (flat out), late 30s for the cycle tho never really tested myself (will jump on Zwift this weekend)and the swim…… not sure I could even make the distance currently :joy::joy::joy: been a long time but lots of room for improvement!!
