What’s wrong with Muc-Off then? I’ve readany a statement on here completely skating them. Is it just well marketed/market penetration (ohh errr) but a bang average product?
I’ve got a couple of lubes, both Muc-Off.
Fwiw I’m not into waxing and proper marginals etc, so intrigued. Life span : faff factor : cost is probably my acid ratio. So I’d be interested to see what I should buy next…
GTN did something on waxing chains last year. Conclusion was, forget investing in a home waxing set-up, just pay for an expensive pre-waxed chain new, and re-coat with the liquid wax lubes as required.
With the price of pre-waxed from GLF, think they have a point.
I’ve watched all the vids & looks a great alternative to someone getting into waxing. I’ve already got an ultra sonic cleaner & all the gear so no point be buying more stuff (ideally you want their heater as the strip needs a higher temperature for a set time.
A no brainer for anyone without an ultra sonic cleaner though, makes waxing much easier.
Zerofrictioncyling (the chain testing guru) has just tested plain paraffin(candle) wax, the cheapest he could find & it tested (almost) better than any other non wax product & only beaten by the fancy stuff.
