Asking for a friend but looking for a good bike fitter for a TT position in the Yorkshire and at a push NE. My mate does not frequent this site but is looking for recommendations.
I’ve used Andrew Sedgwick at triology, he does the retul. But John Dennis? Is at Physiohaus in Newcastle and is well known
Andy Jackson Holme moss way
Very good
Adam Hardy at Sports Lab. West of Hull.
From the best TT fitter in the NW ![]()
Mr recommends John Dennis at Physio Haus. Or Morgan at the same place. Based at Momentum Sports Injury Clinic.
Haven’t used him myself but I would. Kev Dawson @ https://www.jscycleshack.com/. Has good pedigree & works with some very fast riders.
Did mine years ago when he set up Retul in MK…
Very experience former Team GB physio…
I went there as well, about 12 years ago! It was a young lad though.
I had a road-bike fit yesterday with Ryan Morley, he was recommended both through many friends & a shedload of good Google reviews.
Disclosure, I’m great friends with Ryan & his parents & was with Ryan when he did his first cycling century on the Marmotte route in 2011
.
Where to start
?
A laser level showed that I was knock kneed, particularly on the RHS & my right ankle seemed a bit loose & flicky on the downstroke.
Side-on video capture showed that my neck was crunched in when on the hoods which is where I’ll be most of the time.
Pressure pad on the saddle showed that most of my arse-bearing weight was going through my perineum rather than balanced a bit more between my cheeks.
Adjustments were made to my cleat position, including a wee shim on my right shoe, longer stem & hood adjustments (ideally narrower handlebars would also help), saddle was shifted forward a bit & I’ve got a trial saddle to see how things go.
After a wee cycle yesterday afternoon my new knee movement felt noticeably different & I can feel a bit of an ache this morning from using it differently, but hopefully things will become more relaxed & comfortable as I settle into it.
