Anyone got experience with the ProViz jackets?
Ive seen a few in the wild and they light up really well but was looking to see whther they last a season or just start flaking at the first sign of moisture

Mrs T’s has lasted well
She loves it - blinding if you run behind her with a head torch on though
Always find the first ride post clock change a bit precarious. Also incredibly slow.
Rarely get over taken on commute, 3 in as many minutes, Inc a mountain bike and getting chicked over a railway bridge.
Alas she kept the power on going down, raced onto a mini Island to beat the traffic coming round.
I saw the inevitable before either her or the driver as she was left with no exit and carrying a ton of speed.
Shook up…but amazingly no obvious damage to bike.
Imagine her hip will kill tomorrow.
She dropped me enough on the descent I barely caught it on camera.
That’s what happens when you Zwift too much… you can’t manage a corner. ![]()
On the contrary all my zwifting has made me slow on hills that haven’t been reduced by 70% gradient that I carried zero speed in to the corner ![]()
It’s the worst in the rain! Same thing last year - coming back from a long ride, caught out in downpour. Changed the tube twice, despite checking/double checking. Fortunate there was a train station not too far.
… wasn’t til got home that found an undetectable bit of glass embedded in the tyre, hidden by all the muck and mire
Prepped the wheels on my crosser/winter bike. Messy job, cleaning the tyres & rims of old spaff & taking the tacky tape residue off.
Satisfying though putting on fresh tape & hearing that clack as the 32mm tyres seat onto the rim.
That was a shock to the system. Full winter kit… was almost enough if I ignore the chill pains my fingers still have.
Can’t wait to ride back into the slight breeze ![]()
where is the frost???
It looks warm there.
Warm, daylight, sunshine - tell someone’s been spoilt with their house in the sun ![]()
Some of us were already at the office before that orange blob was up ![]()
Did you walk the dogs today - Jesus H Christ!!!
I dug out my fleece lined walking trousers.
Might need my running leggings under them for tonight’s walk ![]()

-3 here this morning, lovely sunny day as well. Perfect.
I usually cycle into the office on a Friday but my son also goes into Uni on Friday mornings in the car, so I can see me bottling it tomorrow and going with him and coming back at lunchtime #lightweight
Cycling back home for lunch was way more pleasant +4C now, was -4C first thing.
Son gets message that he doesn’t need to go in today as tutor is off sick, did I:
A. Cycle in as I would normally do as son is no longer a factor in decision?
B. Go in the car anyway as I’d already talked myself out of it and feel guilty for the rest of the day?
This needs to be a poll ![]()
I’m going with B!
Same. Tho I think I spent longer freezing whilst defrosting the van this morning than I wouldve done on the bike!
C. If my son doesn’t have to go in, then why do I. WFH day. Tell the boss your driver is striking.
I don’t have to go in any day but I like to go in once or twice a week just to break things up a bit. I had Monday & Tuesday off so haven’t been in at all this week so far.
It is “feels like” minus 5 outside (actual 0) and I don’t have much work to do, but there is no way I am going for a ride in this!!!
