The Science can’t magic up the width the E118 2014 frameset can work with. I had frame rub all through Lanzarote full distance with 25s. There’s a whole thread on it somewhere.
Also, you might want to check the research on tyre width over recent years.
I’m with joex here. I have 23s on my TT bike as that’s what the frame accepts. I do occasionally ride a 25 rear as its on one of my rims, but it’s super tight and any kind of muck on the tyre and it definitely does.
Any upside from the lower crr of a 25 would be lost in a race with any sort of rub.
Dremel can
But I hear ya
I’ve still got tubular race wheels
I have 25 mm Tub on my E116 at the moment ( front ) the back just takes a 25 mm if i use a wider wheel like a zipp FC… i"m going to race on it this year as it just fits me better than my E119 tri, which takes 28mm tyres no bother, possibly 30"s if i bought some modern super wide carbon hoops, but i"m saving up to retire!
Any ON shoe deals anywhere?
Looking at some for dog walking.
About £50-£69
not many - Mrs FB was looking recently and couldn’t find much
WD40 450ml can for £3.50 at big Tescoeses if anyone needs some.
Not sure it’ll bring Joes chainring back to life though
Finally MAAP have a Strava challenge which gets you £50 off - @Poet
Can finally empty my wallet for some cargo bibs
Cheers!
My MAAP bibs are see through after just three years.
So not great
Is that the bibs fault or…
Got excited. Nope. They’d still be 3x what I pay
Mwah ha ha ha
No. They’ve actually worn.
Not just my fat arse stretching them out.
I did my 262km in my Service Course ones.
200km in Rapha or Castelli.
Never done anything long in MAAP.
Komraid is closing down and they are putting out deals on their stuff. As an existing customer there was 40% off stuff
Looks like a good deal (note this is the V5 and looks as though it comes with US plug and UK adapter) from CRC or same on Wiggle
just in case you don’t know, they are the same company. Wiggle bought CRC some years ago but they still trade independently for some bizarre reason.
The illusion of choice. Same as all Proctor & Gamble brands, or Premier Foods or GSK etc.
Most casual consumers, I would guess, would have no idea they were linked.
That’s very different. A store front is separate from the products they’re selling. An equivalent would be Sainsburys buying Morrisons but keeping the separate store branding.
Oh, you pedant Mr Stenard.
Yes OK.
Well let’s compare to Tesco, Booker, Premier, Londis, Budgens, Euro Shopper.
