So four grand extra … and counting !
For what is basically a second hand bike that will NEVER go as fast as the original owner did.

I’m a fanboy for Loma, Golovkin, sanders,Bingham, hunter etc, but that is just showing off to your mates.

I need a 56 phew

I do know that ‘businesses’ also throw bids in as the sale is for charity then it is deductible and you get a nice bike/company asset as well

Never been in the tax deductible business, you do too much overtime in one year you pay 40-50 % etc.never had the company scam car either, shame as I like cars !

The charity bit is a nice touch though, personally I’d rather have brand new but if you can afford to hang it on a wall… bid away

What do you think it will actually sell for?

There’s a guy you (used to?) see in Richmond Park very occasionally who has Miller’s TT bike, he’s kept the fit the same, and he can barely ride it, does one lap and sits in the Cafe with it.

I thought it said the funds were just going back into the cycling team?

I don’t think you could get a deduction based on the charitable aspect, but if you’re in the cycling trade and we’re planning to stick it on display you might be able to argue it was a legitimate business expense. But that’s still only knocking a fraction off the price equal to the corporate tax.

I’m curious how the Scot RC are? I’m
Not really thinking about more shoes but nevertheless I can’t help wonder how fast they are…

only worn them once so far, and so the current answer is 12.3kmh…

Think they’ll fit in nicely as a pair of trainers for tempo road runs.

not as cushioned or foamy as vapor/ alpha’s, but nothing feels wrong with them. Some web reviews suggested they were a harsh ride but I did not find this.

Bought a pair for Mrs and Junior too, they both like them a lot, although they have never used Nike cheaters. I also grabbed a pair of Scott trail shoes, they are good too :+1:

edit: here’s a pic of them (white) next to the alphas (yellow) to show the difference in foam height etc

Nice pic, looks like they are on par with the Nike aesthetic. I’ve had a few shoes from other brands that just look so weak compared to Nike, eg Reebok Floatride.

Very sneaky trotters :+1:

If anyone is wanting a fairly cheap but decent training\commute bike Halfords have got some decent discounts on the Boardman range, this one has a carbon frame and some 105 parts, decent set of wheels and it would be quite a good bike.
