Sounds ideal
AlpKit have a load of ex-demo Sonder bikes up for grabs
I was looking for a Ti gravel/winter bike…
Big fan of those, get it bought.
Ha ha ha!
I only wish I could
Looking at the Planet X Hurricane as a winter/endurance rig.
Usefully cheaper, if only it wasn’t made by PX.
Lots of good reviews however
Their first one was made by Lynskey.
About a decade ago.
They had a £999 105 offer when they released it.
Absolutely rue my decision not to buy one to this day.
What’s the tyre clearance on those? It’s their road bike model so may be smaller than the Camino
38mm no guards
32mm guards.
Plenty wide enough for me
Some awesome little cobbled roads round the back of Alderley Edge. I’ve done them on the Ribble with 28mm tyres and it was fine, but a bit rough.
Most of the “gravel” stuff round here is that nice packed trail (that yellow grit stuff which gets your car filthy when it’s wet) or bridleways (grass)
I’m not a fan of driving somewhere for a ride, but having options on my doorstep for mild off-road makes that bike suitable
As much as I love my SuperSix I am becoming increasingly aware that it’s not really the right tool for the sort of rides I do now.
I looked at the new Synapse recently, but I think that titanium is the way to go- I want flexibility in terms of guards and racks, but I still want something fast-ish.
The Hurricane seems to be the sweet spot.
Really not a fan of the ultra flared drop bars…
Is Ti all that? Seems prone to cracking and much harder to repair if it does.
My ‘dad’ rucksack is 15 years old and broken. Found this as a replacement. Can’t do proper dadding unless I have a decent rucksack
Do you remember those canvas ones everyone had a school, they had two straps with metal buckles.
Everyone had them and they were completely bloody useless
Haha, I’m fairly sure I know what you mean, usually had lots of graffiti on them or blotches of ink where a pen leaked
A Goyard St Louis GM tote is perfect for days out.
Can fit loads in them

Or the YSL Sac du Jour is also a good day trip bag
But does it have enough space for a spare pair of socks and a hankie?
Not to everyone’s taste but the Wahoo Roam is currently down to £220. Can only presume a new one is on the way in the next 10 months or so.
Crying shame, but Webb’s Cycles is closing its doors. Bargains for the next few days if you are local to Bristol.
Never heard of them, were they in the suburbs or in town?
South Bristol, not far off the Bath-Bristol cycle path.
Proper old school bike shop.
