I’ve looked into this, more from a sporting context and genes pay a huge part. Also looked into delayed speech for various reasons, and did you know that there is a huge increase in things like delayed speech in areas like silicon valley where both parents typically come from logical mathematical backgrounds. Its fascinating and the whole opposites attract is true probably by human design but by circumstances where we mix with colleagues and stick to certain areas we are potentially limiting kids chances in some fields when we reproduce with people with similar skillsets.
We all went to school with that kid that screwed around in lessons, never did any work yet always aced the tests whilst some of us worked our balls off just to stay close!, again the same in sport, although the true elite work hard and have a genetic advantage
