Doping in UK vs elsewhere

Not at all. But it’s still bloody funny.

Probably, but ROI is going to be low as only a couple of medals available. Once you’ve got a few velodromes built, the world is your lobster.

It makes me chuckle, but if everyone knew why didn’t they blow the whistle?

Probably because they have strong suspicions but no actual evidence :man_shrugging:

What a bell end ( If it’s true/confirmed ) - a testosterone-like substance

That misses the point that his team mates all lose their medals too because he doped.

No, they only won their medals because he doped, they didn’t lose anything that they would not have had, had he not been cheating. The framing on this is awful.

They were given medals (I saw it on TV and everything), so they have them. If Ujah is sanctioned they will have to return their medals, so they lose them.

Only the same way the thief returning their stolen goods loses them.

The other guys could have been clean.

Possibly …?!

It’s a mess.

But 3 guys couldn’t win a medal (maybe in the 4x400 if that was legal :D)

I get the rules… ish
I get that they will all have to give there medals back
I get that if I was clean and in that relay … I’d punch his head clean off at the hinges.

I get why drugs and sport always ends in tears.

Those Italians came from nowhere ?!
They will be next likely.

You frame it that way but I disagree.

If they’d known beforehand they would have included someone else and possibly still got a medal. He took away their chance to race clean.

4 x 100 team gets disqualified, end of - just like running out of your lane or baton being handed over too late. I don’t see where there’s an issue. Cheating and that’s it.

Wholly unfair on the other three them if they believed he was clean and they are too but them’s the rules unfortunately. I guess they are guilty of handling stolen goods.

I don’t disagree.

If MvR told World Tri or WADA that he thought an athlete was doping, assuming he didn’t, would they act? I have no idea if they would target test based on that? Looking at the recent scandles with doping, abusive coaches and dodgy doctors in sport both here and in the USA I’m not sure organisations respond well to whistle blowing until hits the media.

Mind you b sample might come back clean and we’ll all have to apologise for being judgemental

Roger Black’s clearly blood doping

He hasn’t aged

You could be right, but I would suggest that when people start pointing fingers and a number of them unrelated point at one person or persons then that organisation either acts or will be held to account at a later date. This could be one of those times, and that would spur change quicker.
