I also rolled the the other day & put a ÂŁ30 order in.

A few bits on there I have my eye on
Post up If your order comes.
I have received an order I placed on 29 Feb and my latest order placed on 1st Mar has been shipped and is with Evri hopefully for delivery today
I think youâll be fine for anything youâve bought from the administrators. Theyâre collecting money for the creditors and theyâll go to jail if they take your money and donât give you the goods
Presumably at some point the website will be taken down when ownership transfers over to SD and the administrators will have to sell any remaining stock through different channels
My final Wiggle order turned up this morning, slightly bitter sweet.
I got refunded and my order has just arrived.
Winner
Yep you win.
With the end of Signa Sports (Wiggle / CRC etc) choice is more limited
I recently used BikeINN.com in Spain - my advice is to avoid
Delivery took 2 weeks
As I am in Switzerland, I had to pay Tax and Duty - this was expected and not and issue, will be the same for UK customers
The shipped the wrong Power Meter
Took a week to get return authorised
Took a week to process return when it arrived
They donât offer exchange, just a refund
Refund was 10chf less than I paid - I guess fx change
They wonât refund 46chf tax and duty I paid, even though it was their error that they shipped the wrong part
I am being totally stonewalled by them, they will not respond to me
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY
Well thatâs a result
Had you chased them for your order/refund or did they just give you everything?
I chased them. No reply, no order updates, so my bank refunded me via chargeback.
So Iâll probably get re-debited soon enough
Placed a ÂŁ30 wiggle order on Sunday, delivered Monday.
Sad to see them go, can only imagine the quality will drop now that Mikeâs got them.
Where now for reasonably priced stuff at a decent price and lots of choice?
I am using my local guy much more now, actually makes a lot of sense for me as itâs on my way home from work.
But for big stuff he openly admits he canât compete with Merlin.
I suspect that low prices and lots of choice probably had a lot to do with Wiggle/CRC going out of business
Pretty sure Wiggle had the business model of;
Undercut everyone
Other retailers go out of business
Slowly raise Wiggle prices
Monopolise
The last part failed
No retail shops so lower overheads, lower prices which retailers with shops couldnât compete with so many went under.
Viz Amazon, Alibaba, Temu, etc etc
I miss Parkers. If you were running Campag they were a godsend because the clueless LBS monkeys only speak Shim/SRAM.
I havenât really used an LBS in over 30 years and wonât start now.
Learn to do stuff yourself, itâs so much more convenient than the old â drop it into us and leave it a weekâ bollocks.
Any bike business is going to have a lot of money tied up in stock at any point in time. Wiggle only worked with the liquidity provided by their parent company, so when that was pulled there wasnât enough cash in the business to make it work
I get gas / electric usage for shops makes things higher but I really donât understand that in a time where online shopping has existed for about 25 years, business rates are still a thing.
Surely a tax of something like 50p per online delivered purchase would completely negate the need for business rates and make a whole lot more for the government / local councils than the ever dwindling rates do now.
Would be easy to implement too in that delivery labels could be printed out with a QR code showing tax had been paid.
Thing that has really put me off LBS is their shitty attitude. Our local big one that is the main Cervelo deal have such a hollier than though attitude I wouldnât give them a penny of my money anymore. Only used them twice, and both times was awful.
Never got any attitude from Wiggle.
People say you should support local businesses and I am all for that, but they need to do their bit and not be shit
