Not really.
I did look at trying to modify the inside, but no joy.
The guy who currently holds the record is a five fingers runner, so he’s got all that experience.
Also, I wouldn’t want to feel like I’d “cheated” my way to the record.

Great to hear you are not letting it go. I guess each fancy dress has its own difficulties, but having to wear costume specific shoes has got to be one of the more challenging aspects. Observing a variety of fancy dress runners at the weekend most were allowed trainers, at least (ski boot and flamenco dancer excluded 
).

I saw one of the Aston Martin F1 engineers ran in a full race suit with helmet and race shoes going under 4 hours. That is some achievement, those things are not breathable!

The Dorney attempt has been accepted by Guinness, so will need to gather the evidence for that.
A bunch of people in the office have signed up to the Brentwood Half in March, so I’m feeling another costumed GWR might be on the cards

Also what’s interesting is that he’s probably got his mates to sign a witness statement sheet rather than having video evidence of the whole thing so we’ll see what Guinness say

I was just thinking exactly the same. This is going to go one of two ways:
- Fess up and make some excuse about not knowing the rules.
- Double down and get aggressive with some bull’ about the video being a training run or something such like.
