Fitting di2 to a non-di2 bike

I’ve got the BB out, but don’t know how or what tools I need to get the threads that it screws into out

Tried googling but only tells me how to get the BB out not the threads themselves

As far as I can work out that’s the path of the three cables.

I did manage to get a di2 wire to the rear mech by attaching it to the rear mech cable housing and gently pulling it through

Or something in the end of the cable to pick up with a magnet?

If you used a steel brake or gear inner you could fish that out with a magnet, then use that to pull through a di2 cable.

Not sure where the internal routing goes, but I’ll try a cable tomorrow

Well it seems that the bottom of the seat tube is blocked off and I shone a light down after feeding a cable though and not a sign of it.

So we’re here.

Battery and junction box in the bento box.

Not the prettiest but need to get out and it’s only for 12 weeks at the minute.

Royal Mail lied about the brake coming today, so hopefully will be able to get that tomorrow and get some miles in over the next 10 days

Just checked back in on this thread. The lack of route via the bottom of the seat tube was the same for me on my TT. The junction box still fitted under the handlebars but isn’t pretty.

About to throw my bike in the bin

Got to trying to adjust the gears today.

First we had a bent hanger. Fixed that.

Then the rear mech won’t fit past the frame. At a loss. B screw does nothing.

Then the rear wheel is rubbing. Should have checked more closely when upgrading the parts

Prime Wheels have an 11 speed hub.I bought a 12 speed groupset.

I’m not in the right place mentally for this

I need to get out and do some long rides, but now have spent £1k on a groupset I can’t use

Solved the problem by going to the LBS.

Will they put the Di2 on it? And more importantly, what bike!

Orro Venturi Ultegra

LBS sells them and Merida

British made, ticks the boxes I need for a training bike

Stuck my crappy clip on acrobars on, but will sort some slightly better ones when I get some time.

Rides ok, but given I’ve ridden the same bike for 12+ years it just feels a little weird to start.

Stem is longer than I’m used to, but again might look at a shorter one when I’m back at work.

Just annoyed at myself that I ballsed up sorting my other one out.

Now I’ve gotta try and stick it all on eBay
