Good morning, hope everyone is doing as well as can be.
I’m very interested in Ironman history and when surfing the net yesterday came across three interesting articles, with some great old photos. One was relevant to the current situation and said “Ironman athletes don’t want their money back, they just want clarity” (to a lot of disagreement).
This led onto a really interesting piece on the ownership of Ironman, going back to day 1.
And in turn this led me to the archives of Sports Illustrated magazine for a lengthy report on one of the first Ironman races - it was this article that helped Ironman to start to take off.
