How long is a piece of string? Your unanswerable questions. ANSWERED (or not)

I saw something earlier, physicist was saying that none of the mathematical physics models account for time. That times moves and things move forward or back, there was a past, present etc. Its all missing, all the models have things in the same place.

But he saying it in a way that not he though time didnt exist but that models needed updating.

I cant find it again now which is irritating as it was interesting

I read something similar which is why it popped in my head.

Also something I read was about all time was simultaneously happening.

Thats gotta be true, I’m at the end of a 70.3 in my head but then realise I’m 10mtrs into the swim. Doh.

Chris Eubank or Nigel Benn

Hipsters are already a thing of the past. A quick demise.

Stripey t shirts though … why/ how and for gods sake with that Mao ist artisan jacket look

Who invented that? And can we kill them

I bought a book during lockdown by a physicist taking about the breakdown of physical everything - decay

Obviously I don’t think light fits that - essentially can in not travel for ever?

But there’s some mad shit about false vacuum decay which sounds scary and also totally incomprehensible

Chris Eubank or Nigel Benn is fairly straightforward, at least in terms of Boolean logic.

It evaluates to True, assuming at least one of them is non-zero in value.

U2 or Simple Minds?

This one is aged old

Oddly I keep on seeing Justin Currie at the Moment - yes, Del Amiti. Awful I know - but I keep seeing him on a super cool blue trek mountain bike whizzing through the west end. He was at Jane’s premiere. She said, ā€˜we keep seeing you etc… should we say hi’ he said, ā€˜no please don’t’ I think he’s got Parkinson’s… he clearly likes a pint. We walked past him in Finnieston and head sitting having a pint. We walked back a good 5 hrs later - he was still there. Then Carole Gibbons hobbled across the road - it was like a mini triumvirate of local hero’s in one small area - and no one knew … so funny

Well I learned something today so thanks. When you use the or operator in python, it returns the first truthy value it encounters, rather than a boolean value True or False.

So the answer to U2 or Simple Minds is actually U2.

And the answer to Chris Eubank or Nigel Benn is in fact Chris Eubank.

Your welcome, etc.

U2 are bigger, but Simple Minds have aged better.

But the real answer is Big Country.

They say even a stopped clock is correct twice per day. But mine’s sometimes correct three times in a day.

What time does it say?

Yep you both got it :+1:

Summary

once per year, the day after British Summer Time ends, at 2am the clocks are wound back 1 hour.

So a stopped clock displaying a time between 1 and 2 will be correct 3 times during that 25 hour day
