I saw that apparently last year the t shirts went missing so people we given a cheap cotton one, then they found the t shirts in a warehouse and so stuck stickers over them, claimed that they had them “re printed” and then claimed they had done it for sustainability reasons, everyone favorite excuse for cost cutting
yep - what I read.
what a bunch of twunts
I was just typing a reply that was along these lines! ![]()
That is bloody ridiculous. Shocking excuse. How about they donate the tees to a charity or something and get proper ones printed up. I wouldn’t be happy at all if my finishers tee was a re-hashed version of last years.
How much do IM t-shirts cost from the expo - £40? I wonder if they’d consider knocking that off the entry fee…
They probably cost them less than £10 printed ![]()
Fucking shysters
A few years ago at IMOZ, it was either the backpacks or the T-shirts that proudly stated:
IRONMAN: Anthing is possible ![]()
The trophies for our last race turned up with Worchester Triathlon on them.
We phoned the place and they sent replacements with Worcester Trailthon instead ![]()
The caring face of American commerce!
Cheeky buggers, it’d be something if the offered the money to a charity.
One year didn’t their slogan use the MDot logo in front of ‘possible’ so it read:
Anything is IMpossible ![]()
Got a thin cotton one at Frankfurt two weeks ago
It was a thin cotton one at Copenhagen 70.3 as well, although fairly soft.
I’d prefer them to do t’s for trees or something
The number of Mdot races you do you must have a house full of t-shirts and backpacks ![]()

I have five backpacks I’ve kept and twelve T-shirts. Two caps. A jersey.
And a towel.
Oh and some goggles.
I have and I give a load away ![]()
Shouldn’t have bothered with the second sentence.
